Patrol Car Rear-Ended by Vehicle on 90 Freeway near Sullivan Road in Spokane Valley
SPOKANE VALLEY, WA (October 23, 2020) – A Washington State Patrol trooper suffered injuries in a rear-end crash on eastbound 90 Freeway on Friday morning.
According to Spokane Valley Police, the collision happened between Sullivan Road and Flora Road around 10:00 AM.
Based on a report, the trooper stopped at the side of the freeway for a traffic stop. Due to unknown reasons, an unidentified vehicle rear-ended the trooper’s car. Subsequently, impact pushed it forward into the vehicle that the officer pulled over.
As a result, all three drivers were hurt in the incident. Emergency crews sent the victims to the hospital for injuries that aren’t life-threatening.
Officers concluded that the weather was not a factor in the crash. In addition, they charged the first vehicle that rear-ended the patrol car with vehicular assault.
