James Horlacher Arrested Following DUI, Hit-and-Run Crash on 90 Freeway [Kittitas County, WA]
James Horlacher Detained Following Series of Accidents, Theft on 90 Freeway Near Lake Keechelus
KITTITAS COUNTY, WA (October 29, 2020) —P olice arrested a 44-year-old man following a series of collisions, including a hit-and-run, on the 90 Freeway near Lake Keechelus.
According to the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office, James Horlacher collided with a vehicle on the westbound 90 Freeway around 1:00 a.m.
Immediately after, the driver followed him as he tried leaving the scene of the crash.
Subsequently, Horlacher crashed his vehicle into a ditch in front of a home that he managed to enter. There, the homeowner confronted him, telling him to leave.
Horlacher then fled the house but stole the vehicle of the person he initially struck, who was at the scene speaking to 911 dispatchers.
However, Horlacher slammed the car into another ditch, took off and tried hopping into a truck driver’s car, who tried contacting 911 to report Horlacher.
As one event led to the next, police arrested Horlacher without incident. They booked him into the Kittitas County Corrections Center for theft of a motor vehicle and hit-and-run.
In addition, police officers may charge him for DUI pending toxicology results.
