SYLMAR, CA (October 24, 2020) – A 6-year-old boy riding a scooter suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Cobalt Street on Saturday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Encinitas Avenue at approximately 6:30 AM.
Based on a report, a motorcyclist traveling westbound on Cobalt struck the victim. Subsequently, the motorcyclist picked up his motorcycle and put his helmet on to flee the scene without rendering aid to the boy.
As a result, the boy sustained injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported him to the hospital, where his vitals were listed as stable.
