Semi-Trailer Truck Involved in Fatal Car Crash on Highway 93 in Lincoln County
LINCOLN COUNTY, NV (October 24, 2020) – Police confirmed that a 44-year-old car driver killed in a crash with a semi-trailer truck on Highway 93 on Saturday.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened at mile marker 12, about 40 miles north of the turnoff from 15 Freeway.
Based on a report, the victim was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck when he crossed the center line. Consequently, it collided with the tractor-trailer truck carrying 28,000 pounds of dates.
As a result, an attending coroner proclaimed the man dead at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s identity pending kin notification. In addition, emergency crews transported the driver of the tractor-trailer to UMC with minor injuries.
Police are still working to determine the major factor in this collision. However, the investigation is continuing.
