Christopher Dering Dies in Tucson Scooter Accident
TUCSON, AZ (October 27, 2020) — A 33-year-old died Friday night when his Razor scooter collided with two vehicles on South Joaquin Road near West Tree Frog Trail.
Around 10:00 p.m., 33-year-old Christopher Dering was riding his Razor scooter on South San Joaquin Road when he collided with a southbound pickup truck. Subsequently, a northbound vehicle struck Dering under unclear circumstances.
As a result of the accident, Dering sustained grave injuries and succumbed to his wounds at the scene.
According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, both drivers stayed at the crash site. So far, no citations or arrests have been made.
However, an ongoing investigation continues as authorities attempt to determine the ultimate cause of this crash.
