Motorcyclist Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver on 405 Freeway in Tukwila
TUKWILA, WA (October 16, 2020) – Police confirmed that a motorcyclist died in a hit-and-run crash on 405 Freeway southbound on early Friday morning.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near the off-ramp to southbound 5 Freeway shortly before 4:00 AM.
Based on a report, the victim’s motorcycle was traveling on the freeway when a van struck it. Subsequently, the driver of a van continued to drive away from the scene.
As a result, the motorcyclist died due to severe injuries. Officials did not yet release the victim’s identity pending kin notification.
Troopers found the van driver on South 188th Street and took him into custody. This time, officials are still investigating the case. However, they don’t have additional information to share.
