Fatal Two-Vehicle Accident in Tucson

 
TUCSON, AZ (October 23, 2020)—One person died after a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck collided on the 19 Freeway near West Sahuarita Road Thursday afternoon.
 
According to reports, the Arizona Department of Transportation had to redirect traffic off the highway as crews investigated and cleared the scene.
 
At this point, it’s unclear how the 4 p.m. crash happened but the driver in the passenger vehicle died at the scene.
 
Because information is scarce, authorities encourage witnesses with information to contact local authorities.
