Teen Girl, Woman Killed in Three-Car Accident Near Glen Harbor Boulevard [Glendale, AZ]
Two Die in Multi-Car Crash in Glendale
GLENDALE, AZ (October 19, 2020) — A three-car accident near North Glen Harbor Boulevard and West Glendale Avenue left a teenage girl and a woman dead Saturday night.
According to Glendale police spokesperson Tiffany Ngalula, the deadly crash happened around 11:30 p.m.
Ngalula said a car traveling west on Glen Harbor Boulevard rear-ended a vehicle carrying three people inside.
Subsequently, the vehicle hit from behind traveled into the eastbound lanes, where it struck a third car shuttling one person.
As a result of the devastating event, the driver of the vehicle hit by the first car sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, a woman in the same car died at the scene while a teenage girl died at the hospital.
The two occupants in the car that caused the multi-car accident are reported to be in stable condition, while the sole occupant of the third car suffered only minor injuries.
At this time, investigators are looking into whether speed or impairment played a role; however, anyone with more information should contact detectives.
