Two Vehicles Involved in Rollover Crash on Air Expressway near Nevada Avenue in Victorville
VICTORVILLE, CA (October 20, 2020) – One person suffered critical injuries in a rollover crash on Air Expressway on Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near the intersection of Nevada Avenue at about 7:00 AM.
Based on a report, a small sedan collided with a Toyota pickup truck. Due to an unknown reason, the truck went off the roadway and overturned. Officers located the sedan in the wrong way with major front-end damage.
As a result, Victorville City firefighters used extrication tools to remove the male driver from the four-door sedan. Due to his injuries, they requested a helicopter to airlift the victim to Loma Linda University Medical Center. In addition, crews transported the male driver of the pick-up truck to a local hospital.
Officials closed Air Expressway in both directions for approximately 1-hour prompting motorists to be detoured around the crash.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation. This time, officials don’t have additional information.
