One Hospitalized in Rollover Crash on Ashlan Avenue [Fresno, CA]
DUI Driver Arrested after Rollover Crash on Ashlan Avenue near North Angus Street in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (October 19, 2020) – Emergency crews sent one person to the hospital after a rollover crash on Ashlan Avenue on Monday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near North Angus Street around 10:30 PM.
Based on a report, a Chevrolet Cruze was speeding westbound on Ashlan near Angus when it hit a parked car. Subsequently, the vehicle overturned on impact. The driver and two of the passengers were able to get out of the car, but a third passenger was left inside.
Fortunately, the man was wearing a seatbelt and the airbags deployed. Emergency crews sent the passenger to a hospital for his injuries. He is expected to recover.
Officers later arrested the male driver for felony DUI. However, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
