Peter Padilla Hit, Killed by Bus on City Terrace Drive at Pomeroy Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 11, 2020)—A 26-year-old man who’d been hit by a bus on Sunday died in the pedestrian accident on City Terrace Drive at Pomeroy Street.
According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, the man who died at the scene has been identified as Peter Timoteo Smith Padilla, of Pomona.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident happened around 12:40 a.m.
Per Metro spokesman Jose Ubaldo, Bus Line 70 was heading eastbound on City Terrace Drive, approaching Pomeroy Street, when it struck Padilla. The driver had been unaware, say reports, and kept going.
Following the crash, Metro officials reported no interruption to the service.
