3 Dead in Fiery Crash With Semi-Truck on 15 Freeway Near Highway 127 [Baker, CA]
Triple Fatality in Baker Fiery Crash
BAKER, CA (August 11, 2020)—Three people died Saturday following a fiery accident involving a semi-truck on the 15 Freeway near Highway 127.
According to reports, the crash took place around 7 p.m. on the northbound side of the freeway.
Investigators learned that an SUV collided with the back of a semi-truck and caught on fire.
Shortly after, firefighters arrived to extinguish the flames and three helicopters landed on the freeway to transport a 15-year-old, a child and the mother of the child to Las Vegas University Medical Center.
As a result of the accident, four people sustained injuries and at least three people died on the scene. In addition, reports noted that a possible fourth occupant might have had still been trapped inside the wreckage.
At this time, the identities of those killed have not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Authorities have yet to determine the leading cause of this accident and encourage witnesses’ help.
