Steven Sanchez Hit, Killed by Car on Watt Avenue Near Navaho Drive
ANTELOPE, CA (October 19, 2020) — A 38-year-old man died following Friday’s pedestrian accident on Watt Avenue near Navaho Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 4:00 p.m.
Investigators discovered that a driver of a van, traveling northbound on Watt Avenue at about 45 mph, struck Steven Antonio Sanchez, who tried crossing from the right shoulder to the center median.
Soon after, paramedics arrived only to declare Sanchez dead at the scene.
According to the investigation, alcohol and drugs do not appear to be possible explanations of the accident. However, since information is limited, investigators encourage anyone who can help authorities to contact the CHP.
