54-Year-Old Man Dies in Pedestrian Accident on South 16th Avenue [Phoenix, AZ]
Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on South 16th Avenue near West Buckeye Road in Phoenix
PHOENIX, AZ (October 17, 2020) – Police are now trying to identify the 54-year-old man who died in a pedestrian accident on South 16th Avenue on Saturday night.
According to Phoenix Police, the collision happened near West Buckeye Road at approximately 8:00 PM.
Based on a report, a vehicle that was traveling westbound on Buckeye struck the pedestrian. Officers located the victim down in the road with serious injuries.
Emergency crews transported him to the hospital. However, he ultimately died from his injuries.
The driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with officers. Upon assessment, police do not believe impairment or speed played a role in the collision. However, they continue to investigate the case.
