Man Fatally Hit by Car in San Luis Obispo Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (October 16, 2020) — A 55-year-old man lost his life following Thursday’s pedestrian accident on Highway 101 near Madonna Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the Los Osos man reportedly ran directly in front of a vehicle traveling about 65 to 70 mph.
Subsequently, the 49-year-old driver struck the 55-year-old pedestrian as he tried bolting from the center divider toward the shoulder.
However, it’s unclear at this point what drove the man to run across the highway lane.
The San Luis Obispo woman driving the vehicle did not sustain any injuries in the accident, say reports.
