Man Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Highway 500 [Vancouver, WA]
Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Highway 500 near Thurston Way in Vancouver
VANCOUVER, WA (October 12, 2020) – Police confirmed that a man died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 500 on Monday night.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened just east of Thurston Way just before 11:00 PM.
Based on a report, the victim was running across the road at the time of the crash. Subsequently, a car heading east on the road struck him.
As a result, the victim died at the scene. Officials did not release his identity pending kin notification.
WSP is investigating the crash. Initially, officials said neither drugs nor alcohol were a factor in the incident.
