Young Boy Dies in Pedestrian Accident on West Pine Avenue [Lompoc, CA]
Boy Struck and Killed by Vehicle on West Pine Avenue in Lompoc
LOMPOC, CA (October 13, 2020) – Police confirmed that a 7-year-old boy died in a pedestrian accident in the 100 block of West Pine Avenue on Tuesday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened shortly before 7:00 PM.
Based on a report, an unidentified vehicle struck the victim. However, officials did not release the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Subsequently, medics rendered first aid to the boy before transporting him to the Lompoc Valley Medical Center emergency room. Unfortunately, the lifesaving attempts of medical workers were unsuccessful and the victim died. Officials did not yet release his name pending kin notification.
The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene. At this point, the Lompoc Police Department is still investigating the collision.
