11-Year-Old Involved in Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 95 in Somerton
SOMERTON, AZ (October 10, 2020) – Three people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 95 on Sunday evening.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Avenue D.
Based on a report, a Nissan Sentra and a Nissan Xterra collided in the lanes. Responders found both vehicles with severe damage. However, officials did not yet release the details that led to the crash.
As a result, paramedics took three people to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver, a 22-year-old woman had injuries on her left knee. The passengers, a 22-year-old man had injuries on his face and pain on his right leg. An 11-year-old complained of pain to her face and knees. The other occupant refused medical attention. The driver and passenger of the Xterra were not hurt in the incident.
At this point, the Somerton Police Department is investigating the accident. However, they don’t have additional information to share.
