Mitchell Bonneville Detained in Spokane Hit-and-Run Scooter Accident
SPOKANE, WA (October 9, 2020)—One person sustained life-threatening injuries Wednesday morning following a hit-and-run scooter accident at East Wabash Avenue and North Nevada Street.
According to the Spokane Police Department, the accident happened around 5:00 a.m. and involved a Lime scooter rider.
Under unclear circumstances, a driver of a 2008 Subaru Impreza struck the scooter rider, who had purportedly failed to yield to oncoming traffic while traveling westbound on Wabash Avenue.
The driver of the Subaru fled the scene. However, a caller contacted authorities about a Subaru parked in the 7600 block of North Standard Street.
Upon responding to the report, police learned that the Subaru sustained damage, consistent with that of the collision.
As one thing led to another, police arrested 27-year-old Mitchell J. Bonneville on felony charges for hit and run.
However, the case remains open and authorities encourage the community’s help to determine the events of this accident.
