Adalila Cruz-Rojas Dies in Two-Car Collision at North Garfield and West McKinley Avenues
FRESNO, CA (October 9, 2020) — A 41-year-old woman died Thursday morning following a two-car accident at North Garfield and West McKinley avenues.
Around 11:40 a.m., officers received word about a devastating crash, which they’d later discover, killed a 41-year-old woman.
According to California Highway Patrol spokesman Mila Salas, a woman heading northbound in a Honda Civic had just made a stop at the intersection’s two-way stop sign on North Garfield Avenue.
However, as the Honda accelerated forward, it came across the path of an eastbound Dodge Caravan, traveling at approximately 55 mph.
Subsequently, the Dodge slammed into the driver’s side of the Honda, killing Adalila Cruz-Rojas, of Fresno.
According to news reports, the Dodge driver sustained moderate injuries and is expected to survive.
At this time, investigators have yet to determine the full circumstances of this case. Anyone with information should contact authorities.
