Robert Heuer Dies in Fiery Car Crash on 10 Freeway [Thousand Palms, CA]
Single Car Involved in Fatal Crash on 10 Freeway at Monterey Avenue in Thousand Palms
THOUSAND PALMS, CA (October 1, 2020) – Police identified Robert Heuer as the victim who died in a fiery car crash on 10 Freeway on Thursday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just west of Monterey Avenue at approximately 8:10 PM.
Based on a report, the victim’s vehicle veered off the roadway for unknown reasons. Subsequently, the vehicle caught fire in the incident.
As a result, the driver died at the scene. Officials identified the man as 88-year-old Robert Heuer, a resident of the city.
Police did not yet release the factors that led to the crash. However, they are investigating the case.
