One Airlifted after Car Crash on Gurley Street [Prescott, AZ]
Two Vehicles Involved in Crash on Gurley Street near Gail Gardner Way in Prescott
PRESCOTT, AZ (October 3, 2020) – Emergency crews airlifted one person to the hospital after a car crash on Gurley Street on Saturday.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the accident happened at Gail Gardner Way at approximately 5:30 PM.
Based on a report, the victim’s 1995 Chrysler LeBaron was turning eastbound onto Gurley Street from Gail Gardner Way prior to the crash. At the same time, a 2013 Ford F-150 was traveling westbound on Gurley Street. Due to an unknown reason, a collision occurred.
Responders from the Prescott Police and Prescott Fire said the crash trapped a 26-year-old female driver inside the Chrysler. They extricated her and sent her by helicopter to a Phoenix-area hospital after suffering life-threatening. The driver of the Ford was not hurt in the incident.
The F-150 sustained only moderate damage to its front-end, while the Chrysler was significantly damaged on the driver’s side.
Police said impairment was not a factor in the crash. However, they continue to investigate the case.
