Man Dies After Being Run Over by Car in Bakersfield McDonald’s Drive-Thru on Coffee Road

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 6, 2020) — A man died Sunday night after being run over by a vehicle at a McDonald’s drive-thru on Coffee Road near Hageman Road.
 
According to reports, officers arrived to find a man pinned underneath a vehicle at a McDonald’s drive-thru around 9:30 p.m.
 
Police freed the victim from underneath the car and began performing first aid. However, despite these attempts, the victim died shortly thereafter.
 
Following the crash, investigators assumed the examination and discovered that the man had been lying down in the McDonald’s drive-thru. Around 9:30 p.m., the driver ran over him, after having not seen the man on the ground.
 
Per the investigation, drugs and alcohol are ruled out as possible factors. However, anyone with additional insight should contact the Bakersfield Police Department at 661-327-7111.
