2 Die After Semi-Truck Crashes Into Car
WASCO, CA (October 1, 2020) — Two women lost their lives after their vehicle collided with a semi-truck on Highway 43 at McCombs Road Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 6:30 a.m.
Investigations revealed that a southbound truck-tractor hauling a set of bottom dump trailers on Highway 43 began approaching McCombs Road. Subsequently, the semi-trailer collided with a westbound Honda Civic at McCombs Road.
Per the department, the truck driver had no chance to avoid the crash and ended up striking the passenger side of the Honda when it crossed into its path.
The two female passengers pinned inside the truck suffered fatal injuries as a result of the incident.
Following the accident, CHP officers had to close both directions of Highway 43. If anyone has more information on this accident, please call the CHP.
