Hit-and-Run Driver Sought after Pedestrian Crash on California Avenue [Bakersfield, CA]
Pedestrian Struck and Injured in Hit-and-Run on California Avenue at S Street in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 26, 2020) – Police are now looking for a hit-and-run driver after a pedestrian crash on California Avenue on Saturday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near S Street around 8:25 PM.
Based on a report, a vehicle struck the pedestrian in the lanes. Subsequently, the driver fled the scene after the incident.
As a result, emergency crews transported the victim to the hospital with major injuries.
A description of the vehicle was not immediately available. The CHP is still investigating the crash. At this point, they don’t have additional information.
