Bicyclist Dies After Crashing Into Truck on Carmel Valley Road Near Black Mountain Road [San Diego, CA]
Man Killed in San Diego Bicycle Accident on Carmel Valley Road
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 28, 2020) — A 42-year-old man died Friday when his bicycle crashed into a truck on Carmel Valley Road near Black Mountain Road.
According to the San Diego Police, the man was riding his bicycle westbound at approximately 45 mph. For unknown reasons, his bike crashed into a city work truck that had been parked along the bike lane.
As a result, the 42-year-old bicyclist suffered serious head trauma and died at the scene.
Thus far, reports have featured no information regarding the driver of the work truck. However, anyone who has information or who has witnessed this accident, please contact the San Diego Police Department.
