Man Critically Injured in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Rosecrans Street Near Lytton Street [San Diego, CA]
Pedestrian Hospitalized Following Hit-and-Run Crash in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 25, 2020) — A 41-year-old man sustained critical injuries following Thursday’s hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Rosecrans Street near Lytton Street.
According to San Diego police Officer Robert Heims, the incident befell around 9:30 p.m.
Inferring from the investigation, police officers believe the pedestrian tried crossing Rosecrans Street, westbound, outside of a marked crosswalk. However, an oncoming vehicle in an unknown make and model that was only described as a white sedan, struck him.
Per reports, the vehicle fled the scene in an unknown direction.
Not long after the accident, paramedics arrived and brought the injured victim to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries to his head.

As a driver, remember to scan the streets to avoid hitting any pedestrians who may be potentially crossing the road. Pedestrians are also encouraged to only cross when it is safe to do so and in only well-lit areas.
