Rider Flees, Woman Injured in Motorcycle Accident in Kennewick
KENNEWICK, WA (September 24, 2020) — A woman suffered serious injuries following Tuesday’s motorcycle accident at West Carmichael Drive and North Jean Street.
According to reports, a Kennewick officer saw a motorcycle speeding in the opposite direction of Canal Road just after 8:00 p.m.
The officer tried pulling the motorcyclist over, but the rider sped away.
Not long after, the motorcyclist lost control on a curve near West Carmichael Drive and crashed.
Due to the impact, the woman, who’d been riding with the motorcyclist, was ejected and suffered serious injuries.
Paramedics transported her to Trios Southridge Hospital before airlifting her to an out-of-area hospital.
As for the operator of the motorcycle, he or she had fled the area and his or her identity has yet to be accounted for. However, if anyone has more information on this accident, please contact police officers.
