Person Injured in Two-Car Fiery Accident in Murrieta
MURRIETA, CA (March 23, 2020) — Paramedics transported at least one person to a hospital following Thursday’s fiery two-car crash on 15 Freeway near the 215 Freeway connector.
According to a California Highway Patrol report, two vehicles of unknown models collided into the center divider. One of the vehicles–the one that sustained major rear-end damage–burst into flames; however, a person inside that car was able to escape the fire before it ignited.
The 1:30 p.m. crash resulted in at least one injury, although the severity of the injury remains unknown at this time.
Due to the crash, a major slowdown occurred as authorities cleaned up the scene and investigated the area for clues as to what led to the crash.
