Sheng Tu Lin Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Twentynine Palms Highway Near Mohawk Trail
YUCCA VALLEY, CA (September 21, 2020) — A pedestrian died Wednesday night after being struck by a car on Twentynine Palms Highway near Mohawk Trail.
According to reports, the crash happened while Sheng Tu Lin was walking home from a family restaurant in Yucca Valley.
Per the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the 73-year-old tried crossing Twentynine Palms Highway outside of a marked crosswalk when a Toyota struck him.
At this time, it’s unclear what drove the crash or where the fault lies, yet the Morongo Basin Major Accident Investigation Team plans to explore this case further.
