Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run on Orangethorpe Avenue [Buena Park, CA]
Hit-and-Run Driver Sought after Fatal Buena Park Pedestrian Accident on Orangethorpe Avenue
BUENA PARK, CA (September 16, 2020) – Police confirmed that a pedestrian died after a hit-and-run on Orangethorpe Avenue on early Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened just east of Auto Center Drive around 5:40 AM.
Based on a report, the victim was standing in the middle of the road at the time of the crash. Due to an unknown reason, a vehicle came and struck him. Subsequently, the driver fled east on Orangethorpe.
Emergency crews said the pedestrian died at the scene. Fullerton Police did not yet release the name of the victim pending notification of relatives.
At this point, no other information is available. However, police are asking anyone with information to call 714-738-6812. Orange County Crime Stoppers will accept anonymous tips at 855-TIP-OCCS.
