Train Hits, Kills Person in Dixon at Porter Street and 1st Street
DIXON, CA (September 17, 2020) — One person died Wednesday morning after being struck by a freight train near Porter Street and 1st Street.
According to Dixon police officers, the deadly accident took place around 7:00 a.m. in the 400 block of Porter Road.
Information surrounding what led to the crash remains unclear since authorities arrived to find the pedestrian dead at the scene.
Due to the incident, the freight train blocked West Avenue and North 1st Street.
As of now, police did not release the identity of the victim pending notification of next of kin, but anyone with information regarding this crash should contact detectives.
