Bicyclist Injured After Being Struck by Driver in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (September 17, 2020) — A bicyclist suffered a leg injury after being struck and injured by a vehicle Wednesday at Shaw Avenue and Blackstone Avenue.
According to investigators, a Dodge Caravan driver heading west on Shaw Avenue drove through an intersection on a green traffic light and struck the bicyclist, who had been pedaling across the street at the same time.
Police officers say the driver did not see the man on the bike until it was too late.
Following the accident, the unidentified driver stayed at the scene and waited for police officers to arrive.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded to the scene and transported the man to a nearby hospital for leg injuries.
According to reports, officers do not plan to charge the driver in this crash.
