Hit-and-Run Driver Sought after Motorcycle Accident on Gosford Road and South Laurel Glen Boulevard in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 12, 2020) – At least two people suffered injuries in a motorcycle accident on Gosford Road on Saturday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near South Laurel Glen Boulevard shortly before 10:30 PM.
Based on a report, the two were riding their motorcycle when it collided with an unidentified vehicle.
As a result, police said they found the motorcycle rider suffering from moderate to major injuries. Medics took him to a hospital in critical condition. The female passenger sustained moderate injuries.
The driver of the vehicle left the scene after the incident. Police later arrested the suspect’s passenger who fled on foot.
Bakersfield Police said alcohol may be a factor in the crash. However, officers are still asking anyone with information to call BPD 661-327-7111.
