One Killed in Motorcycle Accident on 8 Freeway [La Mesa, CA]

Vehicle and Motorcycle Involved in Fatal Accident on 8 Freeway near Highway 125 in La Mesa

 
LA MESA, CA (September 11, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person died in a motorcycle accident on westbound 8 Freeway on Friday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near the transition ramps to Highway 125, approaching the Severin and Fuerte drives before 10:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, the victim’s motorcycle collided with a vehicle. Prior to that, witnesses reported that the motorcycle was driving erratically before it slammed into the wall dividing eastbound and westbound freeway lanes.
 
As a result, the rider died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s identity pending kin notification. It was unclear if anyone else was hurt in the crash.
 
Police did not release any leads as factors in the crash. At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
