One Dead in Rollover Crash on 7th Street [Phoenix, AZ]
Two Vehicles Overturned in Fatal Crash on 7th Street and Roeser Road in Phoenix
PHOENIX, AZ (September 8, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person died in a rollover crash on 7th Street on Tuesday evening.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the accident happened at Roeser Road at approximately 11:30 PM.
Based on a report, officers found two vehicles at the scene. They learned that a 38-year-old man driving a Cadillac Escalade ran a red light and hit a Dodge Durango with three occupants. Subsequently, both vehicles overturned in the lanes.
As a result, the Escalade driver suffered serious injuries in the crash. The 22-year-old woman driving the Durango and a 29-year-old woman passenger also suffered serious injuries. A 38-year-old man who was also in the Durango died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s identity pending kin notification.
At this time, no other information is available. However, officers continue to investigate the case.
