MILL CREEK, WA (September 4, 2020) – Police arrested a woman who allegedly struck and killed her husband in an accident in the 1500 block of 140th Street SE on Friday night.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident happened before 6:00 PM.
Based on a report, the suspect was arguing with her husband in the driveway prior to the incident. Afterward, the woman struck the man and drove away in a Hyundai Accent, leaving the man on the ground.
Aid crews found the 64-year-old victim with serious injuries to his head and body that were consistent with being struck by a vehicle. The aid crews attempted life-saving efforts but the man died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s identity.
Detectives later found the vehicle at the residence of a family member just a block away. The Hyundai was hidden in some wooded brush with damage to its front-end. Finally, police booked the woman into the Snohomish County Jail for second-degree murder.
