Gerald Veazey Killed in Bicycle Accident at Yucca Street [Santa Fe, NM]
Bicyclist Gerald Veazey Hit, Killed by Driver at Yucca Street and Calle Primavera
SANTA FE, NM (September 10, 2020) — A bicyclist died Friday morning after being struck by a driver at Yucca Street and Calle Primavera.
According to the Santa Fe Police Department, the fatal incident occurred around 8:50 a.m. near Santa Fe High School.
The unidentified driver, whom police described as a 19-year-old, collided with Gerald Veazey under circumstances that demand further investigation.
Shortly after, paramedics transported the 68-year-old victim to a hospital where he died, despite receiving life-saving efforts.
No one else was injured in the accident and police have not filed any charges against the driver, although they say he or she may be at fault.
