Motorcycle Catches Fire in Crash on 15 Freeway near Dale Evans Parkway in Apple Valley
APPLE VALLEY, CA (September 5, 2020) – Medics airlifted a rider after a motorcycle crash on northbound 15 Freeway on Saturday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near the Dale Evans Parkway off-ramp around 4:23 PM.
Based on a report, the victim was driving his motorcycle when it crashed in the lanes. Subsequently, it caught fire in the incident. However, officials did not yet release the details that led to the fiery accident.
A Mercy Air 2 medical helicopter landed on the I-highway and airlifted the male rider to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries.
The crash temporarily blocked all lanes of traffic resulting in significant delays.
The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the cause of the crash. At this time, officers don’t have additional information to release.
