Three Hospitalized after Two-Vehicle Crash on 15 Freeway near Rancho California Road in Temecula
TEMECULA, CA (September 5, 2020) – Police confirmed that a vehicle was cut in half after a crash on southbound 15 Freeway on Saturday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Rancho California Road just after 4:10 AM.
Based on a report, a Toyota Sienna minivan and a Honda Accord collided in the lanes. Consequently, the vehicles went down an embankment, splitting one in half.
Officials from the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department responded to the scene and rescued one person in the wreckage. As a result, crews said that a total of six people suffered injuries. They sent three people with moderate injuries to a hospital, while the three others refused additional treatment.
The CHP is investigating the case. At this time, officers don’t have the details regarding the cause of the crash.
