Three Injured in Head-On Crash on Highway 154 [Santa Barbara, CA]
SUV and Sedan Crash on Highway 154 near Foothill Road in Santa Barbara
SANTA BARBARA, CA (September 6, 2020) – At least three people suffered injuries in a head-on crash on Highway 154 on Sunday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened about one mile up from Foothill Road and Cathedral Oaks Road at approximately 1:30 PM.
Based on a report, two vehicles crashed head-on. CHP identified the involved as a blue SUV and a red sedan. As a result, both sustained major damage to their front ends.
Santa Barbara County Fire crews and AMR responded to the scene. Firefighters extricated three patients from the vehicles. Consequently, medics said one patient sustained serious injuries while two others had moderate injuries. They transported the victims to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital by ambulance.
At this time, police don’t have additional information. However, they continue to investigate the crash.
