Carlos White Killed in High-Speed Solo-Car Accident on East Alsdorf Road [Eloy, AZ]
Carlos White Dead in Single-Car Crash on East Alsdorf Road at South Sunshine Boulevard
ELOY, AZ (September 3, 2020) — One person died following Friday’s single-vehicle accident on East Alsdorf Road at South Sunshine Boulevard.
According to the Eloy Police Department, the 5:22 p.m. crash involved a Chevy pickup truck that crashed near a railroad track.
Police determined that the fatal victim—Carlos White—was the backseat passenger of the truck, which had also carried two men in the front seat of the vehicle.
Tragically, White died at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center, despite life-saving efforts.
Per the investigation, the Chevy ran a stop sign at the intersection and struck a curb along South Sunshine Boulevard. Subsequently, the truck landed after going airborne and continued eastbound before going airborne again. It then landed near the north side of the track, sustaining significant damage.
According to the Vehicular Crimes Unit’s initial findings, speed likely played a factor in this fatal crash, which sent the two surviving men to Phoenix-area hospitals.
At this time, officers believe impairment drove the accident, as well; yet if anyone has more information, please contact the Eloy Police Department.
Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends of Carlos White.
