Hit-and-Run Driver Sought after Rear-End Crash on Chester Avenue [Bakersfield, CA]
Pickup Truck Rear-Ended by Hit-and-Run Vehicle on Chester Avenue near Beardsley Avenue in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 30, 2020) – Authorities are now looking for the hit-and-run driver involved in a rear-end crash on Chester Avenue on Sunday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Beardsley Avenue.
Based on a report, a BMW rear-ended a pickup truck at the intersection. Afterward, the driver left the scene quickly. Following the hit, the driver continued onto Warren Avenue, abandoned his car, jumped into another car, and left.
Fortunately, medics said the people in the pickup truck did not report any injuries.
At this point, the Bakersfield Police Department is investigating the case. However, they don’t have additional details to share with the public.
