Jose Arvizu Dead, Mario Humo Charged in Motorcycle Accident on Valencia Road [Tucson, AZ]
Jose Arvizu Killed, Mario Humo Arrested after Tucson Motorcycle Accident
TUCSON, AZ (September 1, 2020) — A man died Sunday morning following a motorcycle accident on West Valencia Road at South Ignacio M. Baumea.
According to news reports, the 7:00 a.m. incident happened near Casino Del Sol.
Deputies responded to the accident to find 47-year-old Jose Arvizu with fatal injuries.
When Traffic Unit detectives responded soon after, taking over the investigation, they determined that a minivan, driven by 44-year Mario Humo crashed into Arvizu, yet under ambiguous circumstances.
However, police arrested Humo on manslaughter charges and booked him into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex.
Still, the crash remains unclear and anyone with information should contact the police department.
This is heartbreaking news that no family should ever have to learn. Our thoughts and sympathies are with the family and friends of Jose Arvizu.
