Isaiah Lono Arrested after Fatal Hit-and-Run on Redondo Beach Boulevard [Gardena, CA]
Drunk Driver Isaiah Lono Involved in Gardena Crash
GARDENA, CA (August 30, 2020) -Police arrested Isaiah Lono after a fatal hit-and-run on West Redondo Beach Boulevard on Saturday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near South Vermont Avenue at approximately 11:50 AM.
Based on a report, the 19-year-old man was allegedly driving a stolen Dodge pickup truck when he slammed into a Nissan Sentra. Subsequently, the Gardena Police Department said he got out of the truck and ran away.
As a result, first responders found the driver of the Nissan with serious injuries. They took her to Harbor UCLA Medical Center, where she died from her wounds. Police did not yet release her identity.
Meanwhile, officers later found and arrested Lono, a resident of Hawthorne. Finally, police charged him of homicide, vehicular manslaughter, hit-and-run, and driving under the influence. At this point, an investigation is ongoing.
