Pickup Driver Killed in Crash with Semi-Truck on Highway 37 [Sonoma, CA]
Semi-Truck Involved in Fatal Crash on Highway 37 near Highway 121 in Sonoma
SONOMA, CA (August 24, 2020) – Police confirmed that a pickup driver died after a crash with a semi-truck on Highways 37 on Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Highway 121 shortly after 6:00 AM.
Based on a report, the big-rig was traveling west when it hit the victim’s red Toyota Tacoma pickup truck that was preparing to turn left at the intersection. Subsequently, the Tacoma struck the front-end of a Subaru Outback, resulting in major damage to the truck.
Officers with the Marin CHP, Lakeville Volunteer Fire Department, and the Schell-Vista Fire Protection District said the pickup truck driver died at the scene. Officials di not yet release the victim’s identity pending kin notification.
