SACRAMENTO, CA (August 24, 2020) – Police confirmed that a vehicle struck and killed a man in a parking lot accident in the 5600 block of Power Inn Road on Monday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Fruitridge Road at approximately 3:30 PM.
 
Based on a report, an unidentified vehicle struck the man in his 30s. However, officials did not yet release the details that led to the crash.
 
As a result, first responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s identity to the public.
 
The driver who struck then victim remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers at the scene.
 
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. At this time, police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to call Crime Stoppers at 916-443-4357.
