Deadly Motorcycle Accident on Peasley Canyon Road in Federal Way
FEDERAL WAY, WA (August 25, 2020)—One person died following Monday’s motorcycle accident on Peasley Canyon Road South near Highway 18.
According to Gavin Anderson of the King County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal incident happened around 11:00 a.m.
Deputies and paramedics responded to the scene to find a motorcyclist dead on arrival. Another driver involved in the motorcycle crash suffered non-life-threatening injuries and later received care at a nearby hospital.
The crash, which occurred just before noon, had detectives determining what caused the vehicle and motorcycle to collide. So far, they believe the motorcyclist struck the vehicle just underneath the Highway 18 overpass.
Per reports, the driver of the vehicle was subsequently arrested by officers for unknown reasons.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation and anyone with information should contact the King County Sheriff’s Office.
