Deadly Three-Car Crash on Highway 37 at Highway 121 [Sears Point, CA]
One Person Dies in Multi-Car Accident in Sears Point
SEARS POINT, CA (August 25, 2020) — One person died during Monday’s three-car crash along Highway 37 West at Highway 121.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 6:15 a.m. near the Sonoma Raceway.
CHP officers say that a semi-truck driver slammed on the brakes to avoid running a red traffic light at the intersection. The semi-truck subsequently struck a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, which was pushed into a Subaru vehicle that spun out.
As a result of the impact, both the Toyota and the semi-truck came to a stop near the center divider.
Unfortunately, the Toyota driver died at the scene and his or her identification has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Reports did not indicate the condition of the Subaru or semi-truck driver. That, as well as the cause of the crash, remains under investigation.
Our law firm would like to take this moment to express its sympathies to the bereaved family and friends of the victim.
