Five Vehicles Involved in Crash on Los Angeles Avenue near Executive Way in Simi Valley

 
SIMI VALLEY, CA (August 22, 2020) – Medics sent one person to the hospital after a multi-car crash on East Los Angeles Avenue on Saturday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Executive Way at approximately 1:44 PM.
 
Based on a report, the accident involved at least five vehicles. However, officials did not yet release the details that led to the pile-up.
 
As a result, 12 people suffered injuries. Consequently, five ambulances responded to the incident. Upon further investigation by emergency medical personnel, they transported only one person suffering a health condition unrelated to the crash to Los Robles Health System in Thousand Oaks. They treated the remaining crash victims at the scene for minor injuries.
 
Officers closed all lanes of traffic along East Los Angeles Avenue as a result of the crash.
 
The Simi Valley police don’t have additional information at this time. However, they continue to investigate the case.
